Taormina, Sicily is the setting for this podcast. A visit during Corpus Christi can be rewarding, inspiring, and spiritually renewing. Sicilian food can make the palate well satisfied. Pride of ownership is not forgotten in the Sicilian menu.
As precise as Sicilians are with their appetites, they seem quite opposite about their clocks. Approximately is the word requiring certain knowledge and acceptance when navigating time frames in Taormina. I offer that as a simple, humorous warning and not a judgement. As most American’s take their time “precisely” to the minute, even when on holiday. Differences do make the world more interesting.
It’s ok, even though it may be frustrating. It’s about community, making friends, and loving others for who they are, even if they are late for the appointment.
